INSTRUCTIONAL ROUTINES IN THE CLASSROOM
Below is an outline of the routine that will be demonstrated in the classroom. It is subject to change based on specials and tests.

- Arrival begins at 7:15 a.m.
- Stand at the door at 7:15 a.m. and greet each student then ask them to look at the board, which explains
what they need to do in their notebooks until the bell rings. - Bell rings at 7:20 a. m. Students work quietly until announcements are done.
Starting the Day
- Go over the agenda written on the board.
- Go over what was done in their notebooks and ask open-ended questions, have students share what they
wrote. - Introduce lesson(s) with an opening hook such as a video, tangible, or other manipulative.
- Teach.
After lunch
- Introduce afternoon agenda.
- Introduce lesson(s) with opening hook such as video, technology, or other manipulative.
- Teach.
- Create group work pertaining to the lesson.
- Review what was done throughout the day in each subject.
- Have children participate and share what they thought was the best and what they did not
understand too well. - Go over homework and what is expected. (Rules and
consequences can be discussed pertaining to homework). - Walk with children to the front of the school for pick-up.
